Itaú Europe S.A. ("Itaú Europe") is the banking subsidiary of Itaú Group based in Luxembourg, having as sole shareholder Itau BBA International plc, with registered office in London, United Kingdom. Itaú Europe operates in the Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”) segment and as an investment advisor for private banking clients who recognise in the “Itaú” brand a standard of quality and excellence.
Itaú Europe is registered as a credit institution with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier - CSSF.
Itaú Europe has a branch in Portugal - Itaú Europe S.A. – Sucursal em Portugal (the “Branch”). The Branch is authorised as a branch of a credit institution established in the European Union and registered with the Bank of Portugal and as a financial intermediary with the Portuguese Securities Market Commission.
Itaú Europe started operating as a credit institution on 1 June 2026, following a cross-border merger by absorption (the "Merger") of Itaú BBA Europe, S.A. ("IBBAE"), headquartered in Portugal and with a branch in Luxembourg. As a result of the Merger, in accordance with applicable law, all of IBBAE’s assets and liabilities were transferred to Itaú Europe by way of universal succession.
