Itaú Unibanco joins the list of companies with an A rating on the CDP
Recognition reflects the bank’s commitment and prioritization to enhance transparency and performance regarding climate change
January 2026 – Itaú Unibanco is now part of the list of companies that received an “A” rating in the CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) Climate Change questionnaire. This achievement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the sustainability and climate change agenda, as well as reinforcing the consistency of our ESG Strategy.
The CDP is a global reference for transparency and quality of environmental impact information in both the public and private sectors, assessing more than 20,000 organizations based on leading international standards, such as the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Only 4% of the companies evaluated managed to reach the A rating list in 2025.
In addition to the CDP, Itaú Unibanco also reports to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), the B3 Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE), the B3 Diversity Index (IDIVERSA B3), the B3 Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2 B3), and ESG rating agencies such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, and LSEG ESG.
Participation in these indexes represents our daily commitment to ethics, transparency, and sustainability, and is the result of joint efforts from various areas of Itaú. This is just one more step toward our ambition to be the Climate Transition bank for our clients, and we will continue advancing toward this goal.
