Historical series Itaú eliminates brokerage fees for Shares, BDRs, ETFs, and Options for all clients
October 6, 2022 – Itaú Unibanco announces that it has zeroed the brokerage fees on Shares, BDRs, ETFs, and Options for clients from all segments of the bank (Branches, Uniclass, Personnalité, and Private) who trade exclusively via digital channels using Itaú Corretora’s home broker or via the ion Itaú app. Previously, this fee was fixed at R$4.90 per order for brokerage and R$2.90 for day trade operations. This initiative is unprecedented among Brazilian banks, and it is part of the constant evolution of Itaú’s investment ecosystem, which includes innovation and the democratization of offers and access to investment products among its pillars. “Our goal is to provide investors with the best and most complete experience in their allocation journeys, with transparency and easy access to a complete portfolio of products,” says Claudio Sanches, Director of Investment and Pension Products at Itaú Unibanco. “We believe that this movement can contribute to an even larger number of people diversifying their investments, while respecting investor profiles and objectives,” says Sanches. The contracting of Variable Income products by clients can be made via the ion application (https://ion.itau/), by the broker’s app, or by using Itaú Corretora’s Home Broker (www.itaucorretora.com.br). Brokerage fees will be maintained for clients who are served by the Trading Desk or by telephone, regardless of segment.
