Historical series Itaú Unibanco promotes campaign to prevent bank fraud and scams
The goal is to alert consumers about the various types of crime and to educate about forms of prevention, proposing the formation of protection networks against these criminal actions
August 26, 2022 – Itaú Unibanco, the largest private bank in Latin America, started a campaign on the main TV channels to alert the population about how to prevent and not fall for scams and bank fraud. In all, three films will be shown, signed by the Africa agency, which portray daily situations on the subject and are aimed at educating people so that they can protect themselves and become allies in the fight against these crimes. This is yet another initiative from the bank that reinforces its commitment to stand by its customers. The initiative also intends to draw attention to the various types of fraud and scams that happen to people of all ages and with all levels of understanding about technology.
“Nowadays, scams and frauds are not related to a person’s age or understanding of technology, let alone system protection. In fact, criminals are becoming increasingly specialized in ways of convincing the client to voluntarily share sensitive data or perform an improper transaction, which, in the end, generates great financial loss,” says Adriano Volpini, director of Corporate Security at Itaú Unibanco. “We use the most sophisticated tools to protect against scams and fraud. However, it is the work in partnership with our clients that makes the biggest difference in this battle – that’s why we say in the campaign that ‘together we protect twice as much’. We want to empower our clients and society as a whole through didactic content that is really understood and attitude changes that are often simple,” says Eduardo Tracanella, Marketing Director at Itaú Unibanco. “Our commitment, as a leading brand, is to lead important guidelines for society,” concludes Tracanella.
