Itaú Unibanco announces special mortgage credit conditions for sustainable enterprises
As a result of the integration between Itaú’s Wholesale and Retail, “Repasse Verde” (Green Onlending) offers differentiated rates for individual clients on projects financed by the “Plano Empresário Verde” (Green Business Plan)
November 2022 – After the launch of the “Plano Empresário Verde”, which consists of offering differentiated financing conditions for sustainable real estate, commercial, or residential projects, Itaú Unibanco has announced the “Repasse Verde”. The solution will offer special conditions for individual clients interested in acquiring residential units from such projects. All the bank’s clients who contract a loan to purchase properties in such projects will have access to the lowest financing rate currently available at the bank. The Businessman Plan includes projects certified by EDGE from the IFC, or by Aqua-HQE from Fundação Vanzolini, which attest to the sustainability of the constructions. “The launch of the Repasse Verde is an example of our efforts to integrate the areas of construction financing (companies) and acquisition financing (individuals) within our sustainability agenda. This product is the final stage of the Green Business Plan journey, offering differentiated pricing conditions for buyers of units in certified projects”, explains Bruno Bianchi, Commercial Director of the Real Estate segment at Itaú BBA.
Currently, approximately 24 projects are qualified for the plan, totaling R$3.5 billion in General Sales Value (GSV). “We have increasingly integrated the actions promoted by Itaú BBA for real estate developers with those of Itaú Unibanco for end clients, with the objective of offering the best journey at all ends of the real estate sector. We deliver innovative and competitive solutions created based on our clients’ needs, which leads to an increase in their satisfaction and greater engagement with the bank,” says Thales Ferreira Silva, Director of Real Estate Credit and Consortia at Itaú Unibanco. Aligned with the bank’s ESG strategy, the Green Business Plan and the Green Repasse aim to offer complete and eco-efficient real estate solutions, bringing customers not only benefits in pricing, but also serving as a connection hub for the entire construction chain. In addition, the bank is evolving in the homologation of LEED certification, managed by GBCI Brasil.
