Historical series Itaú Unibanco expands access to Bitcoin and Ethereum assets for Itaú Íon clients
The bank points to security, customer service and education as key differentiators of the digital asset trading experience
June 2024 – In response to growing customer demand, Itaú Digital Assets – the business unit responsible for digital assets at Itaú Unibanco – announced that as of June 10, all clients of the financial investment platform íon Itaú will have access to Bitcoin and Ethereum trading.
The cryptoasset product, which has been gradually released since the end of last year, has been very well received by Itaú clients, who have shown great interest in exploring the new investment options. Given this context, the bank is now offering all active Itaú users a positively rated cryptocurrency trading experience, according to recurring internal surveys. With more than 90% of customers rating Itaú’s platform as good or very good, it stands out for its ease of use and transparency, as well as the notable difference in personalized service.
In this context, security remains a fundamental pillar, with 100% of clients emphasizing its importance when buying assets. It is worth noting that the bank offers its own custody of crypto assets, which guarantees the security of asset storage expected by clients in this market.
