Historical series Itaú Mulher Empreendedora (Itaú Entrepreneurial Woman) celebrates its 10th anniversary with mentoring for women at the Rede Mulher Empreendedora Festival
São Paulo, October 2023 – Itaú Unibanco, through Itaú Empresas (Itaú Corporate) and the Itaú Mulher Empreendedora program (Itaú Entrepreneurial Woman program), will offer a series of activations at the largest women’s entrepreneurship event in Brazil. The Rede Mulher Empreendedora Festival (Women Entrepreneurs Network Festival), which takes place on October 6 and 7 at the São Paulo Expo, will feature workshops, lectures and exclusive mentoring offered by the bank. For these mentoring sessions, Itaú has invited its own experts, along with four influencers and businesswomen who are known worldwide: Alice Ferraz, Hariana Menke, Loo Nascimento and Mari Maria will share their experiences and contribute to the development of entrepreneurs during the event.
Created in 2013, the Itaú Mulher Empreendedora program, which develops initiatives to support female entrepreneurship in Brazil, in partnership with IFC, a member of the World Bank, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The program’s main objective is to boost the growth of companies led by women, through acceleration rounds and business training, a network of connections and content on management and finance, generating positive impact and developing success stories. In a decade of operation, Itaú Mulher Empreendedora program has had a positive impact on more than 850,000 Brazilian women through its training, connection and acceleration activities; offered more than 200 free contents to boost business; directly benefited more than a hundred ventures; and, in 2020, was voted the best bank for women entrepreneurs by the SME FINANCE AWARDS.
This year, the bank will offer Entre Elas, an Itaú Empresas mentoring space (Between Them, an Itaú Corporate mentoring space), with a team of Itaú Unibanco specialists who will be on hand to provide individualized guidance to female entrepreneurs, sharing ideas and strategies for tackling common challenges in the business world. Participants in the event will have the opportunity to sign up for Express mentoring with women business experts. The mentoring involves a 20-minute individual conversation, totaling 25 sessions, with five mentors from Itaú. In addition, the four renowned entrepreneurs invited by the bank – Alice Ferraz, Hariana Menke, Loo Nascimento and Mari Maria – will share their experiences to contribute to the development of the participants.
Also during the event, Itaú Unibanco will offer educational workshops given by specialists from the bank, covering topics such as Organization and Financial Planning with Leila Nemes, a collaborator from the Ion Investments area, and Diversity as an Innovation Project with Vanessa Café, a collaborator from the Diversity and Inclusion area.
The annual Rede Mulher Empreendedora Festival is the country’s leading gathering of female entrepreneurs, bringing together talented and visionary women who are shaping the future of business. This year, the festival is expected to bring together more than 40,000 women (online and in person) and will offer 48 hours of talks, workshops and much more.
