Itaú launches product for those who want to invest in companies that work with Artificial Intelligence
August, 2023 – Itaú Unibanco is now offering its investor clients the possibility of allocating capital in shares of important global technology companies that work with solutions related to the concept of Artificial Intelligence. Through the Artificial Intelligence Autocall COE, it will be possible to participate in the market movement of the shares of four of the main global companies operating in this segment: NVIDIA, AMD, Snowflake and Meta.
The strategy has a duration of 5fiveyears and falls into the protected capital category. The minimum investment is R$5,000 and the operation is not subject to exchange rate variations. Every six months, the performance of the stocks that make up this basket is checked. If, on the verification date, there is no devaluation of the shares in relation to their initial value, the invested capital is paid plus a coupon – interest on the operation – of at least 9.40%. If this scenario does not occur, the coupon accumulates and the product continues to operate for the next verification. If at the end of the five years the condition for payment is not registered in any of the six-monthly checks, the participant receives the capital invested and the COE is closed.
“As a financial institution attentive to new opportunities for our clients, we have designed an investment structure that seeks to take advantage of this moment of great prominence in the Artificial Intelligence segment,” explains Claudio Sanches, director of investment and pension products at Itaú Unibanco. Through a simple investment logic, we offer a way of allocating assets that are still inaccessible in the local market for those seeking gains above traditional fixed income,” he adds.
Get to know the companies that are part of the Autocall Artificial Intelligence COE:
NVIDIA: around 60% of its revenue is linked to large-scale data processing and it is the leading supplier of GPU-type processors – the main technology for meeting today’s high computing capacity demands.
AMD: the second largest provider of GPUs on the market, which has been positioning itself in the field of artificial intelligence with the launch of products that serve not only data centers, but also solutions that make it possible to work with large language models (LLMs) on local devices, such as PCs.
Snowflake: one of the leading independent cloud services companies. Its platform allows customers to store and manage data in a scalable way.
Meta: one of the companies with the largest amount of user data in the world, as well as having created PyTorch, the main language for developing AI programs, which allows for faster and less costly updates to its technological base, thanks to its widespread use.
The Autocall Artificial Intelligence COE is aimed at investors in general, within the moderate, bold and aggressive profiles. Income tax is levied at regressive rates (22.5% to 15%), depending on the term of the investment. The allocation period begins on August 21, with the product’s official start date on September 1. The contract is available via Itaú Corretora’s website, as well as from investment managers and specialists.
