Itaú launches investment agent based on generative artificial intelligence

June 5, 2025 – Itaú Unibanco announces the launch of the Inteligência de Investimentos Itaú (“Itaú Investment Intelligence) ” tool, the first investment agent in the Brazilian market based on generative artificial intelligence (genAI). Initially, the solution will be available to a group of 10,000 clients, with gradual expansion throughout 2025 and 2026.
This iInnovation has the potential to greatly expand the range of investment advice with quality, security and at no additional cost for clients seeking support when investing.
The agent acts as an investment specialist available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With a hyper-personalized experience, clients receive answers to their questions in seconds, ensuring complete guidance and support for decision-making for the investor.
The tool, which will be gradually made available within Itaú’s Super App, was developed to have fluid conversations about investments, based on Inteligência Itaú (Itaú Intelligence), taking into account product curation, expert insights, internal and external projections, algorithms and specific knowledge bases, which guarantees consistent, safe recommendations aligned with the customer’s profile.
With this, Inteligência de Investimentos Itaú Itaú Investment Intelligence translates all this technical content into clear and accessible interactions in a conversation, helping the client to resolve doubts and make decisions with more autonomy, without giving up the security and quality standard of the bank’s advisory service.

The initial target customer profile includes people who predominantly use the bank’s digital channels, with occasional access to on-demand investment specialists, a defined investor profile, with average knowledge about investments and who already have an investment portfolio (usually with basic products or with low diversification). In addition to self-service, clients will also always have the option of talking to a human specialist to assist with their investment decisions.

Investment suggestions continue to be based on Itaú’s proprietary models and algorithms, which perform thousands of projections to ensure solid and secure product curation.
Generative AI comes in as a layer that translates these recommendations into natural language, guiding the customer through information from their current portfolio, product suggestions and contextualized explanations, all adapted to the customer’s profile and moment.
This approach offers the best of both worlds: the scale and convenience of self-service, with the care and personalization typical of dedicated investment advice.
