Itaú digitizes 100% of the processes for registering real estate loan contracts and loans with property guarantees

With the initiative, the journey to purchase products becomes simpler, more practical and can be carried out from anywhere

September 2023 – As part of its ongoing effort to listen to its customers’ needs, Itaú Unibanco is announcing yet another innovation in the way it registers contracts, with the digitalization of the processes connected with real estate credit products and credit secured by real estate. Previously, in order for requested amounts to be released, customers had to go in person to notary offices to submit the necessary documentation. With the digital format, this is no longer necessary, making the process far more convenient for many clients.

“The solution seeks to serve our different client profiles and their preferences with excellence. We still cater to clients who prefer to send documents physically but now also to more digitalized clients who use tools and technology to optimize their time,” says Rodrigo Penteado, Director of Asset Acquisition Communities at Itaú Unibanco.

Digitization is estimated to save approximately three million sheets of paper a year, as well as reducing the CO2 emissions involved in printing the pages. Another important aspect is the increase in security when sending documents, with the guarantee that information and personal data will be transmitted securely and confidentially. Data security and confidentiality are fundamental concerns and consequently cyber security has become a priority.

Finally, this innovation provides the best contracting journey for the customer. “In this way, we reinforce our goal of offering an agile, efficient and secure process, putting the customer’s needs and satisfaction first, making the hiring journey less bureaucratic,” concludes Penteado.
