Historical series Itaú BBA organizes free event to develop black talent
August 2023 – On 19 August, from 10am to 5pm, Itaú BBA hosted the Itaú BBA Experience 2023, an event aimed at black university students. The aim of the event was to bring Itaú BBA closer to students interested in the financial market, to stimulate their development, to promote career exchange with the bank’s black leaders, and to share experiences, connections, and networking.
The Itaú BBA Experience 2023 took place in a hybrid format, online and in person at Itaú BBA’s headquarters in São Paulo, free of charge and open to students from all over Brazil, with the aim of reaching self-identified black or brown students. During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about Itaú, participate in soft skills classes, group activities, workshops with career counsellors, and roundtable discussions with senior executives including Judinei Neri Araujo, MD of the Investment Bank; Moisés Nascimento, Director of Technology; Roberta Anchieta, Director of Fiduciary Administration; Valquiria Jovanelle, Legal Superintendent; and Rodrigo Galdino da Silva, Superintendent of Technology, among others.
Places for face-to-face participation were limited, and the selection for online registration was made by the bank’s talent team according to the student’s year of training (preferably from December 2021 to December 2025) and the courses that most closely matched possible career opportunities within the organization.
At the end of the event, participants received a certificate stating the number of hours spent and a description of the technical and behavioral skills developed.
