Itaú expands predictability and flexibility in consórcio offering with Fixed Bid and Reduced Installment in a 100% digital journey
The bank advances its consórcio offering with new options that broaden financial planning
May 2026 – Itaú Unibanco announces enhancements to its consórcio offering, with solutions that expand predictability and financial planning. Among the new features is the launch of the Fixed Bid, which provides greater clarity by allowing clients to know exactly how much they need to bid to increase their chances of being awarded the credit letter, reducing uncertainty and supporting more informed financial decisions.
This logic of predictability connects directly with another solution available in the bank’s portfolio: the Consórcio with Reduced Installment, an option that allows clients to pay lower monthly installments until they are awarded the credit letter, offering more financial breathing room right at the start of the contract. In practice, the solution broadens the possibilities for clients who wish to start a consórcio while preserving income or cash flow, as they organize themselves to access the credit letter, which only becomes available at the moment of the award.
In this format, the client can choose between two alternatives to handle the balance equivalent to the amount deducted from the installments: either reduce the credit letter amount while keeping the installments the same, or have it incorporated into future installments until the end of the consórcio. This allows, for example, someone preparing to buy a home, change vehicles, or structure a medium-term project to get started without putting pressure on their budget at the beginning of the journey. Now, the entire journey can also be completed directly through the Itaú SuperApp in a 100% digital way, expanding access to the consórcio and reinforcing its role as a medium- and long-term financial organization tool.
“The growth of our consórcio portfolio reflects a consistent strategy centered on client needs. In a context in which people are more cautious about using credit and are seeking alternatives that allow them to better plan their financial decisions, we continue to grow above the market and to evolve our offering with solutions that expand predictability, flexibility, and access, supporting more informed financial decisions and a healthier relationship with money over time,” says Fabrízio Ianelli, executive superintendent of Consórcio Itaú.
The evolution of the consórcio dialogues with a context in which financial planning is gaining even greater relevance in people’s lives. According to the survey “Consciousness and Prosperity: the new relationship of Brazilians with money,” conducted by Itaú Unibanco in partnership with Consumoteca, 80% of Brazilians want to learn how to organize their money better, and 71% already see credit as positive when used well. In this scenario, solutions that offer predictability and flexibility help turn intentions into more structured decisions, especially in an environment of greater attention to the budget in the short and long term.
“The design of these solutions starts from an integrated view of the client over time, considering different life moments and short-, medium-, and long-term financial goals. By combining flexibility at the start of the journey with predictability and options throughout the contract, we are able to offer a more complete consórcio, capable of serving everyone from those organizing themselves to achieve the dream of a first home, to clients who wish to continue building assets without compromising income, all the way to strategic profiles looking to expand their wealth to generate passive income,” adds Marco França, head of Products at Consórcio Itaú.
By combining predictability in the bid, flexibility in the installments, and a fully digital journey, the consórcio consolidates itself as a financial planning tool applicable to different profiles and objectives. The option can be used to acquire vehicles, motorcycles, residential and commercial real estate, construction, land, renovations, and more complex projects such as the expansion of commercial and industrial ventures and businesses in general, allowing wealth decisions to be made in a more planned way aligned with the needs of each moment in life.
The advances in the consórcio reflect Itaú’s premise of putting the client at the center of product decisions, developing solutions that accompany the client over time and support more informed financial choices, with a focus on planning, predictability, and financial organization.
