Historical series Itaú Asset’s ESG Fund surpasses R$ 1 billion in net assets and reaches 6,900 shareholders
Itaú Active Fix ESG focuses on assets that have a positive impact on society and the environment
April 04, 2024 – The fund Itaú Active Fix ESG FIC Multimercado Crédito Privado, managed by Itaú Asset, exceeded R$ 1 billion in net assets in the first half of March. The fund’s growth has accelerated in the last 12 months, when Active Fix raised R$ 945.75 million and went from 827 to 6,900 shareholders (most of them individual investors).
Launched in July 2021, Itaú Active Fix ESG brings together professionals from the manager’s credit funds with the expertise of the ESG integration team. It directs the allocation of its resources to the debt of companies whose economic activities are directly linked to the generation of positive social and/or environmental impacts. In addition to this differentiation, the fund may also invest in green bonds or bonds linked to sustainability (socially linked bonds) if the use of resources from these issues is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – sanitation, education, health, renewable energy, waste management and green emissions.
The fund has a low and medium risk credit portfolio and has generated a return of 107.60% of the CDI since inception, with a return of 110.49% of the CDI over the last 12 months.
