Itaú customers will be able to pay for purchases in installments, advance credit card installments at a discount, and simulate future purchases

New features will give customers more day-to-day autonomy to manage their purchases and installments simply and quickly, directly through the Itaú app

São Paulo, June 6, 2024 – Itaú Unibanco has just launched three new features to make day-to-day tasks and financial management easier for customers who have credit cards. It will now be possible to pay in installments for transactions that were made in cash, anticipate installments of future invoices at a discount, and simulate future purchases.

Available in the bank’s app, the new features bring a series of benefits to customers, allowing them to view transactions easily and select the specific purchases that they want to pay for in installments or in advance, without having to change the entire card bill. The ability to simulate future purchases reduces the risk of the transaction being denied due to a lack of limit or for security reasons.

“This way, as well as controlling their finances better, customers can also get other benefits and facilities, such as discounts and freeing up the card’s limit,” says Felipe Piccoli, Director of Cards at Itaú Unibanco. The new features are already available to some customers, and soon all Itaú app users with credit cards will be able to take advantage of them.

“The features give customers more freedom to define when and how they want to pay for their purchases. By allowing them to manage this in the way they prefer, we are increasing their financial autonomy,” adds Piccoli.

The three new features, in addition to the Transfer Limits feature launched on the Itaú app in May, are part of a package of solutions from the bank aimed at making customers’ lives simpler and more agile when it comes to day-to-day financial tasks. This allows for greater planning of purchases and freedom to deal with unforeseen events.
