Itaú opens vacacines for the training of trans people in the Operations and Service Departments
Initiative aims to expand the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ professionals in the labor market; the selected people will be hired by the bank as Process Engineering analysts.
June 2022 – Itaú Unibanco opened enrollment for an exclusive Bootcamp for trans people – a program aimed at identifying and refining talents, in addition to promoting diversity. The five-week Bootcamp will offer synchronous (live and online) and asynchronous (recorded content) classes for the technical training of 14 analysts. The people approved in the selection process will be hired as Itaú Unibanco employees from the first day of training and then join the bank’s Operations and Customer Service team.
This is the second class of the project composed only of trans people. In 2021, 38 professionals were hired by the bank’s Technology team after participating in the initiative. “With training exclusively for trans professionals, we were able to increase the qualification of our teams and, mainly, act in an affirmative manner in the employability of LGBTQIA+ people,” said Luis Cunha, Director of Operations at Itaú Unibanco.
Applications can be made until July 22, and classes are scheduled to begin in the first half of September. The program curriculum includes methodologies and technical knowledge in Kaizen, Lean, Agile and Design Thinking.
To participate in the Bootcamp exclusively for transgender people, you must be over 18 years old and be available to work full time (eight hours a day). Previous work experience is not required.
Special live meeting
On July 12, at 7 pm, Itaú will host a live chat on its YouTube channel to give details of the program, describe the training process, and answer any questions. The event will include the participation of professionals in charge of diversity at the bank, “EducaTRANSforma” (the bank’s partner in training new employees), and members of the most recent exclusive class for transgender people, who are now part of Itaú’s Technology team.
