(full report attached)

We are launching today a new weekly report, focused on the 2018 elections, with electoral polls and social media trends, an agenda of major events, a monitor of economic policy signals issued by potential candidates and parties, special comments and the flow of electoral news. Enjoy your reading.

In the State of São Paulo, the Ibope survey showed slightly lower voting intentions for Joaquim Barbosa (PSB), Marina Silva (REDE) and Ciro Gomes (PDT) than in the Datafolha survey of the previous week. In a scenario with Lula (PT), the former president and Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) lead. Without Lula, Bolsonaro shares the leadership with Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB).

In social media, Lula (PT) and Bolsonaro (PSL) remain dominant, while João Amoedo (NOVO) leads in terms of followers´ growth. On Twitter, mentions about corruption and security increased further.

In the economic agenda, Marina Silva (REDE) criticized the spending ceiling and Ciro Gomes (PDT) the privatization of Eletrobras.

In this week´s agenda, the highlight is the survey to be published by Instituto Paraná Pesquisa, the only survey that will have national coverage.

We have tabulated the figures and dates of publication of the Datafolha and Ibope surveys since 2002.
