 This is a weekly report about the coronavirus evolution and its consequences on economic activity.

 Recent developments: a record number of new cases puts the US in evidence, but the recent acceleration is more linked to late contagion in some regions than to the risk of a new epidemic wave in places that have already experienced strong outbreaks.

 Similarly, Brazil is experiencing an acceleration of the outbreak in the smaller cities, while capitals have a less explosive curve of new cases and show a decline in new deaths.

 Economic activity: late contagion in the US may postpone normalization of the economy.
