Monthly GDP drops 0.8% mom/sa in December

• In December, the Itaú Unibanco monthly GDP (PM-Itaú) receded 0.8% mom/sa while advancing 0.7% yoy.

• In 4Q19, PM-Itaú climbed 0.4% vs. the previous quarter so that the indicator went up 1.0% in 2019. Our forecast for 4Q19 GDP growth is 0.5% qoq/sa.

• Out of 13 monthly GDP components, three expanded on a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis.
