About Itaú Unibanco

Since their foundation, Itaú and Unibanco have known how to anticipate market challenges by consolidating their businesses in periods of crisis and expanding them in times of growth. The characteristic way the two institutions expanded - through mergers and acquisitions - became clear in 2008 and has continued to the present in alignment with the new Itaú Unibanco Vision:

"To be the leading bank in sustainable performance and customer satisfaction"

Itaú Unibanco is a publicly-held company which, together with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, operates in Brazil and abroad, with all types of banking activities, through its commercial, investment, real estate loan, finance and investment credit, and lease portfolios, including foreign exchange operations, and other complementary activities, with emphasis on Insurance, Private Pension Plans, Capitalization, Securities Brokerage and Administration of Credit Cards, Consortia, Investment Funds and Managed Portfolios.

We offer a wide range of banking products and services to a diversified base of individuals and companies, the bank’s account holders and non-account holders. We have over 46.965 ATMs and 4.910 branches and service centers.

We are present in 18 countries other than Brazil, in commercial banking and institutional client operations, and investment, wholesale and private banking activities. Eight of these countries are in Latin America, which is our priority in terms of international expansion. Our operations also comprise North America, Central America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

Itaú Unibanco employed approximately 99.3 thousand people at the end of 2017, including over 13.8 thousand employees in foreign units.

The Sustainability Map operates as a strategic guidance, instructing our different operating and business areas to include sustainability issues in their decision-making process. More than just creating new products, we work to adjust our operations, mitigate risks, identify competitive differentials and generate income in a context of higher demand for management of environmental and social impacts. Thus, we will be able to achieve effective and long-term results. This sustainability vision has improved and it has been incorporated by our different business areas by means of the systemic analysis indicators and assessment of achieved results.
